This is a GREAT story…
Ask this Catholic college to take Planned Parenthood off its web site – sign protest
You won’t believe this…
Rosemont College – a Catholic institution – lists Planned Parenthood on its web site under “career paths” for students of its women’s studies program.
Your instant protest message will go directly to the president of Rosemont College, Mrs. Sharon Latchaw Hirsh, PhD, urging her to remove every mention of Planned Parenthood from the college’s web site.
It is highly scandalous for a Catholic college to have any ties with Planned Parenthood or to present the largest abortion provider in America as a “career path.”
As you know, Planned Parenthood has a reputation for:
- Promoting abortion and promiscuity
- Targeting children with offensive material
- Taking positions hostile to Christianity
- Receiving hundreds of millions in tax dollars
In fact, Margaret Sanger, founder of Planned Parenthood, once stated: “The most merciful thing that a family does to one of its infant members is to kill it.”
Enough said. Can you help me ramp up this protest?
And to give this peaceful effort much more impact, help me spread the word by forwarding this message to your pro-life friends (or even your entire address book).
With God’s help, the truth will prevail.
With warmest regards and prayers,

UPDATE!! UPDATE!! UPDATE!! UPDATE!!
Wow. That was fast. Less than 24-hours after I asked you to contact Rosemont College – a Catholic institution – and protest its listing of Planned Parenthood, I have good news to report.
When I checked this morning, the entry was no longer there.
This victory could not have been achieved without your help. Thank you for your prayers, your readiness to take action and your commitment to defend moral values.
Let’s continue “fighting the good fight.”
With warmest regards and prayers,

A new report by the International Planned Parenthood Federation is advocating that children as young as 10 be given extensive sex education, including an awareness of sex’s pleasures.
The report, “Stand and Deliver,” charges that religious groups, specifically Catholics and Muslims, deny their young access to comprehensive sexual programs and education.
“Young people’s sexuality is still contentious for many religious institutions. Fundamentalist and other religious groups — the Catholic Church and madrasas (Islamic Schools) for example — have imposed tremendous barriers that prevent young people, particularly, from obtaining information and services related to sex and reproduction. Currently, many religious teachings deny the pleasurable and positive aspects of sex.” the report states.
Madrid, Spain, Feb 8, 2010 / 06:56 pm (CNA).- The regional vicar of Guadalajara in Spain has welcomed requests by numerous Spanish Catholic organizations to launch a campaign defending the presence of crucifixes and other religious symbols in the country.
According to organizers, the idea came in response to Spain’s Socialist government’s plan to “regulate” the presence of religious symbols in public areas, a decision which many believe will end up prohibiting them completely.
WASHINGTON, January 26, 2010 (LifeSiteNews.com) – Speaking with LifeSiteNews.com (LSN) after the Vigil for Life Mass last week, Lexington Bishop Ronald Gainer said that the Church has been “patient enough” with outspokenly pro-abortion Catholic House Speaker Nancy Pelosi.
LSN questioned Bishop Gainer on whether Pelosi should be denied communion due to her public stance as a ‘pro-choice’ Catholic. While acknowledging that it was up to her local bishop, the Lexington prelate did say that “something should be done.”
Pelosi’s latest salvo claiming to support abortion and yet be a faithful Catholic came in a December Newsweek interview. “I am a practicing Catholic,” she said, while suggesting that this made the U.S. bishops uncomfortable. “I practically mourn this difference of opinion,” she said regarding her conflict with the Church over abortion, “because I feel what I was raised to believe is consistent with what I profess, and that is that we are all endowed with, a free will and a responsibility to answer for our actions.” She added: “And that women should have that opportunity to exercise their free will.”

What is the National Organization for Women afraid of? Apparently a touching story about a courageous woman who chooses life in the face of adversity is just too much to take. And when her football star son decides to share that story on Super Bowl Sunday, well, that goes too far. It’s “divisive.”
NOW and its affiliate organizations the Feminist Majority and Women’s Media Center are condemning the Super Bowl advertisement featuring Tim Tebow and his mother Pam, calling it an offensive “anti-choice” ad.
Could you imagine anything more ironic? The organization that purports to embrace women and “choice” is desperately clamoring to shut down the most loving choice of all: the choice for life. Yet the women of NOW can’t abide 30 seconds of a heart-warming story. What would producers at Lifetime Television say?
Let’s be real. What’s the worst case scenario here? That if Americans hear this message they will choose to make sacrifices in order to have a child and bring a wonderful life in to the world? That’s hardly an abhorrent message.
These groups are not “for” women and they don’t want them to have a “choice.” They only want women to “choose” the path of abortion. Never mind that abortion has been shown over and over to be destructive in numerous ways, both physically and psychologically. But, *please* don’t tell people that there are alternatives.
In their efforts to cling to the old feminist mantra that we somehow “need” abortion, NOW sells American women short. They assume that women are so weak-brained and easily manipulated that they must be protected from a life-affirming message.
This fracas over the Super Bowl illustrates perfectly how NOW & Co. are losing their grip as their pro-abortion position sinks in public opinion. For the first time in decades, Gallup recently reported that a majority of Americans now consider themselves pro-life. The demand by pro-life Americans, and the members of Congress who represent them, insisting that the health care reform package must not include federal funding of abortions has damaged the prospects of getting the health care reform plan through Congress. The March for Life in Washington last Friday was one of the biggest ever attended with tens of thousands of seniors, young people and Americans of every race and creed taking a stand in defense of life.
It is this growing American pro-life majority that has driven NOW to desperation. In an effort to remain relevant, they apparently have become experts at sports. In their words, the purpose of the Super Bowl is to “bring people together.” I’m not sure if you asked Sedrick Ellis of the Saints or Gary Brackett of the Colts if that was their mission that they’d agree. Two teams fighting to the last second to be named Super Bowl champion is a divisive event within itself. If you have any doubts, just ask the fans.
What is divisive are NOW’s attempts to demonize the Tebow family, CBS, and ad sponsor Focus on the Family. In a desperate attempt to keep full information from women, they are attacking the family of an American sports hero with the courage to live out his convictions.
As a mother of five, I can only say I’d much rather have my children watch the Tebow story than the hundreds of other things they might see during the Super Bowl. Somehow I think the majority of American sports fans, women and men alike, will be able to appreciate the blessings of life expressed by the Tebow family. If this beautiful story of family unity, sacrifice and triumph is too harsh on the eyes and ears for so-called women’s groups, I have two words of advice: mute button.

Investors knock waste on useless research
LOS ANGELES, California, January 29, 2010 (LifeSiteNews.com) – California’s Institute for Regenerative Medicine came into being five years ago, fueled by a conviction that the Bush administration’s restriction on embryo-destructive research in the National Institutes of Health was stifling the progress of science.
But after years of fruitless work, the Institute has now quietly diverted funds from embryonic stem cell research (ESCr) to adult stem cell research – which has already produced dozens of treatments and all-out cures for maladies ranging from spinal cord injury, to Alzheimer’s, to type I diabetes.
The California government – which is again teetering on the brink of bankruptcy – in 2004 passed the California Stem Cell Research and Cures Initiative, or Proposition 71. The initiative pumped $3 billion into research seeking some medical use for stem cells harvested from human embryos, which are killed in the process.
But an editorial in the Los Angeles-based Investor’s Business Daily magazine January 12 pointed out the abysmal failure of the state’s massive investment in research that has procured no effective treatments to date.
